History File Errors & Reality, updates or Overlays not loading

Reality uses a history file to record the versions of Reality and components installed on systems. In rare occasions this file can be corrupted as it is stored as a standard file on the host platform.

Depending on the level of corruption this may prevent further Reality installations and components being loaded or updated.

The TCL command HF.RECOVER can be used to clean up a system's history file, recovering such issues.

You can see the details recorded on a system using a host command prompt and running pdshist Reality – all Reality product set versions will be displayed.
