V14.0 doesn't seem to load on Windows 7 or Server 2008 – Updated

This can be recovered either by using V14.2, or by manually installing V14.0 as described in the FAQ.

Manually installing Reality V14.0 on a new Windows Vista, 7 or Windows Server 2008 system.

1. In the root of the CD double click vcredist_x86.exe
   … you must use latest CD/ISO delivery, Book #10315.
   (Book number is in root directory, in file version e.g. text "V14.BN.10315")
   This loads a compatible new C++ library distribution from Microsoft, which does seem to change periodically.
    
2. Navigate to the folder \client\windows\PDShistory and double click setup.exe
    
3. Navigate to the folder \Reality\base and double click setup.exe. and follow the default prompts.
   Note, the drive letter and keyfile name needs to match the CD drive and keyfile being used…
   … for the evaluation use eval.ryk used – e.g. d:\eval.ryk
    
4. Install the latest updates from the Latest Updates page.

Other software that may be required will be found in the \client\windows folder of the CD.
